It’s time for planning summer classes and summer fun! It’s a chance to try all the many different types of classes we offer, as well as our fabulous PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS. And this year WE’VE ADDED A TOT’S PAC for 3+4 year-olds!

The camps are divided: TPAC for the 3+4 year olds will be 2 days a week for an hour + a-half. The YPAC will be for ages 5 thru 8, 4 days a week, 9 to Noon. The PAC will be for ages 9 thru 15 and will be 5 days a week, 9 thru 1.

In the camps the students will have lessons in all forms of dance: Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap and Modern, as well as Gymnastics, Theatre Arts, Music, Modeling, Makeup, Manners, Sewing and Choreography. All of this will culminate with performances at the studio, as well as at the Abington of Glenview.

We have been developing our program for 16 years and have had great success with it. We limit the Tot’s PAC to 10 students,; the YPAC to 16 students and the PAC to 20 students. Everything is personalized to each ones capability.

The students work as a family. Every day brings a different form of dance and theatre: Drama, Music, Singing, Make-up, Costuming, Improvs, Character Development, Modeling and, of course, Performance. We’ve even done a radio show to encourage different ways to use the voice. We have a dinner party, where we concentrate on proper etiquette. We work on costumes and the students learn simple sewing techniques. It’s fun, exciting and greatly boosts their confidence, self-esteem and respect for themselves and their accomplishments, as well as those of others.

Besides our PAC programs, we have regular classes for children and adults. We also offer private lessons in all forms of Dance, including Ballroom, Voice, Piano, as well as Personal Training. (See the schedule on the inside cover).

Private lessons and private parties are scheduled individually. Voice and Piano lessons are scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays.

SUMMER CLASSES begin Monday, June 14th
FALL CLASSES begin Tuesday, September 7th

NOTE: If you don’t see what you’re looking for on the schedule, call the studio, and we may be able to add it!

FALL SCHEDULES will be available in April. The registration fee will be waived for those who register before June 8th.

This fall we will begin our 34th season! Thank you for making that possible.

 

FOR THOSE STUDENTS 9 and OLDER: The Chicago National Dance Masters will have a workshop from July 26 to Aug 1. which will be held at the Doubletree in Oak Brook. Vicki, and I will be attending. Please let us know if the dates will work for any students who want to attend.

On staff for the summer will be Vicki Gutmann, Kim Sheets, Caitlin Hayward, Kate Rowen, Lauren Marchetto, Rachel Ford, Carolyn Katz, Jeff Merrill, Lindsey Poling and, of course, La Verne.

The front desk will be covered by Claire Asuan and Margo Mullady.

We are excited about the addition of the Tot’s Performing Arts Camp.

The PAC shows are, tentatively, planned for July 22nd and July 29th.
